Beards are in?

🧔 WHO SAID SUMMER WAS BEARD SEASON? DEAN DID. THAT'S WHO.

For the first time in the entire history of this camp — and frankly, the entire history of Dean's face — we are proud to present something truly historic. Something nobody asked for. Something nobody was prepared for.

Dean has a beard.

We know. We know. Take a moment. Breathe. We needed a moment too.

After decades of a clean shaven existence, Dean has apparently decided that this is the year, this is the summer, and this is the face that gets to have one. And honestly? We respect the commitment. The beard has arrived and it is making itself very comfortable. We have also taken the liberty of mocking up what Dean might look like with a full, gloriously thick, Santa-level beard — and let's just say the results were… something. Scroll up. You're welcome. 🎅

At this rate Christmas is going to hit different this year. Ho ho ho, Dean. Ho ho ho.

🍂 THE POOL SITUATION — WE NEED HEROES

In other very important news, we have begun the sacred and annual tradition of getting the pool ready for summer — and we have a small request for the community.

We are looking for volunteers to scoop approximately ten tons of leaves out of the pool.

Yes. Ten tons. We are not exaggerating. Nature has been busy and she has left quite the deposit. If you have a net, a strong back, a high tolerance for soggy leaves, and a willingness to show up for a greater cause — we want YOU. Show up, scoop leaves, be a legend. The campers will never know your name but the pool will remember your sacrifice forever. 🍃😂

And on that note — we are still looking for a few volunteers for this summer overall! If you have time, energy, and a genuine love for kids and camp life, reach out. We'd love to have you on the team.

⚽ THE FIFA WORLD CUP IS COMING AND WE ARE ABSOLUTELY LOSING IT

Camp and the FIFA World Cup in the same summer?? Someone up there really likes us.

We are BEYOND stoked to celebrate the World Cup with everyone at camp this summer — the games, the energy, the drama, the goals, the heartbreak, all of it. If you were at camp a few years back, you already know how electric it gets around here when the tournament is on. We still talk about the France vs. Mexico final like it happened yesterday — the cheering, the chaos, the sheer emotion in that basement. Absolute scenes. If you weren't there, that's a shame. If you were there, you know. 🏆🔥

This summer is going to top it. We'll make sure of it.

🧠 AND FINALLY — A MESSAGE FOR THE PARENTS

Give your child the gift of growth, adventure, friendship, and memories that will last a lifetime by sending them to the Vineyard Camp this summer.

Enrich their education. Expand their world. Let them climb things, make friends from across the globe, try new foods at the Sauce Station, cheer at World Cup games, and maybe — just maybe — pet a goat at the brand new petting zoo.

And while they're doing all of that? You get to sit in a quiet house. Drink a hot cup of coffee while it's still hot. Finish a sentence. Watch something on TV that isn't animated.

We're not saying it's a vacation for the parents. But we're not NOT saying that either. 😄
